For decades, the design of surfboards has been marked by the tradition, and with good reason. That legacy has brought us to here. But like Andy Irons changed the way we understand the surf, we believe that the time has come to push the design of tables into a new era. Honoring the past, building the future.
GURA started with one obsession: pushing board performance hydrodinamics to the limit in big waves by merging passion with science.
It all started at home, with minimal tools, and the maximum of curiosity, when four friends, united by the surf and innovation, decided to challenge the status quo.
Today, that handcrafted spirit is still at our core, now elevated by engineering, precision, and legendary waves.
VISION

Surfboards were born from instinct. We’re here to evolve that instinct with engeeniering, analysis and performance testing.
We use Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to test each design in multiple wave conditions before any board is built. This allows us to dial in hydrodynamics with scientific precision, every curve, rail, and rocker is data-backed.

We use the highest-quality blanks available, because performance begins at the core.
Our highest-end boards are layered with basalt fiber, a volcanic rock-based material that outperforms traditional fiberglass, delivering better flex, stronger durability, and more responsive surfing.
Throughout the entire production process, the technical blueprint remains visible as a constant reference, ensuring that every detail of the board stays true to the original design.
